Man dies in crash in Friendswood area

FRIENDSWOOD, TX Deputies identified the victim as Joshua Howard. They say he was driving erratically on West Bay Area Boulevard near Friendswood early Saturday morning.

"He failed to negotiate a curve, spun out and struck a tree. He was transported to Clear Lake Regional," said Dep. Paul Begley of the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Howard died at the hospital. A passenger suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment. The impact of the crash tore off the front fender of Howard's white Mustang.
