BERLIN, Germany --For the 20th anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall, Eyewitness News Reporter Christine Dobbyn travels to Berlin and takes us on a journey with those who lived in Germany's divided past and what life is like today in the united country. Twenty years ago, the Brandenburg Gate literally marked the division between the east and the west, communism and democracy. But on a November day in 1989, in what may be remembered as one of the most peaceful revolutions in modern history, the wall came crumbling down. Berlin was reborn and Germany would eventually be reunified. It was a day that changed the world we all live in today.
We have exclusive one-on-one interviews with former President George H.W. Bush and Secretary of State James Baker, as well as two Houstonians who had a hand in the historical event.
