Two to three rounds will take place July 11, and finalists are required to take part in a one to two week training camp (includes dance practice, conditioning, a professional interview, and drug/background screen), which concludes with a formal final audition.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and high school graduates. No formal dance experience is required, although training in dance, cheer, drill team, and/or gymnastics is strongly encouraged. Audition routines will include a mix of hip-hop, jazz, pom, and dance technique choreography.
Power Dancers must be full-time students or hold full-time employment. Applicants will need to bring a non-returnable photograph (head shot or full-length), Texas Driver's License, and a one page professional resume including dance experience to auditions. Proper attire is a two-piece top and shorts dance ensemble with tights or hose and non-marking dance/tennis shoes.

So you think you an dance? Well, boys and girls, it's time to try out for the best kids' dance team in the NBA! Our Rockets Little Dippers rule the league in hip-hop, tumbling, pop & lock and jazz technique.
In order to audition for the Little Dippers, kids must be 6-14 years old as of Sunday, July 12, 2009.
Please wear any kind of athletic attire and non-marking dance or tennis shoes. The Little Dipper coaching staff will teach a short routine, which the children will then audition in small groups after having a few minutes to practice. There is no need to bring music or choreographed material.
Those will tumbling (at least a standing back tuck or flip-flop series)/breaking skills will have an opportunity to show their moves to the judges. There will not be an official lunch break, but you may bring snacks.
Auditions are not open to parents and guests. Parents/guardians must be present for registration, even if you've already pre-registered!
