Officials say a man was driving down the road near First and Dulaney around 7pm when another man ran him off the road into a ditch. The men, who knew each other, got into a fight about a woman who was also present.
The argument escalated and one of the men was stabbed. By the time emergency crews arrived, the man was pronounced dead. Authorities say they are interviewing the other man and the woman.
"We have a person of interest obtained," an official said. "We're not calling him a suspect at this time because we don't know if it was self defense or an intentional act." The Texas Rangers are investigating the case along with the Montgomery County sheriff's office and district attorney.
