Catholic church could consolidate parishes

Cardinal Dinardo met with representatives of those Catholic parishes Monday night and said he prefers consolidating the five parishes into a single parish under a single pastor. The archdiocese says the teams responded positively to that idea, and to the cardinal's hope that Father John Bok of Saint Patrick's parish would agree to serve as pastor of the new parish.

The plan has to go through church procedures before it becomes final.
