Injured deputy in critical condition

Investigators say Terrence Leonard, 40, broke both arms and suffered head trauma Saturday after he was thrown from his motorcycle in a crash in northwest Houston. Investigators say a car had tried to cut through the procession and hit the deputy.

A METRO officer was also hurt in a similar crash directing another procession a few hours before. He's in good condition.
