Flames ravage massive home

HOUSTON Black smoke from the fire could be seen from far away.

The two-alarm fire at the home in the Memorial Springs area started around 3:15pm. No fire hydrants were located near the 5,000 square foot home so the Klein Fire Department had to bring in tanker trucks to battle the blaze.

Firefighters were able to put it out shortly before 5pm.

A mother and child were home at the time. We hear they were able to safely leave the home.
