Outraged parents to discuss Islam presentation

June 10, 2008 4:45:55 AM PDT
Tonight, outraged Friendswood parents will discuss a presentation on Islam with the school board. The problem arose after offensive graffiti was found in a bathroom at Friendswood Junior High. In response, Principal Robin Lowe agreed to host a presentation on Islam.

The Council on American Islamic Relations had threatened to report the incident to the FBI as a hate crime. They agreed instead to send two representatives to make a half-hour presentation during PE class. The principal was later reassigned to an administrative position.

Tonight's meeting starts at 5:45pm. The Islam presentation will be discussed at 6:30pm.
