Jesse Jackson talks to Houston students

HOUSTON Jackson spoke to students at Wheatley High School Monday morning. The reverend told students the civil rights struggles of blacks and Latinos have impacted each other. Jackson also said adults must partner with teenagers to reduce violence in schools.

"Whether it's Columbine or Virginia Tech or NIU, and so we must partner with our youth to drive out the drugs and the guns and stop the self destructive behavior," Jackson said.

Reverend Jackson also encouraged black children to learn Spanish and Latinos to learn English in order to communicate and make the nation stronger.
