Officer shot, suspect killed during chase

HOUSTON It happened last night outside a night club at Northwest Mall. Investigators say three officers working security were approached by two men, who claimed they had been robbed. The officers then saw three men running through the parking lot.

When the officers began to chase them, the suspects turned and started shooting. All three officers returned fire. One officer was hit in the upper leg, while one suspect was killed.

The injured officer is recovering at Memorial Hermann. He's expected to be OK.
