Garage used as workshop goes up in flames

HOUSTON (KTRK) Flames spread in a detached garage at a home on Forest Hill near Santiago in southeast Houston. Around 1am, firefighters found the wooden garage engulfed in flames. Investigators say the homeowner used it as a paint shop.

"It was crowded with a lot of flammable liquids and once it got started it went pretty good," said Dan Kopfensteiner with the Houston Fire Department.

Firefighters were able to keep it from spreading to the house. No one was injured.

Firefighters have not determined the cause of the fire.
