HOUSTON (KTRK) -- ZZ Top has postponed its Houston concert next month after bassist Dusty Hill slipped and fell on his hip while aboard his tour bus Tuesday night.

In a statement issued by Live Nation, officials said Hill's injury requires immediate attention, prompting the cancellation of performance dates through September 13. That included the September 12 show at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.

ZZ Top performance dates have been temporarily suspended while he recovers. Houston ticket holders are being asked to retain their tickets pending the possibility of rescheduling the concert.
