HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Authorities are investigating the death of a worker who was extracted from a ship at the Port of Houston Tuesday morning.
The incident happened around 8:00 a.m. on a ship at the Houston Ship Channel.
Officials said the worker had to be extracted from a cargo hold of the ship. It's not immediately clear how the worker got there.
The Houston Fire Department and Harris County Medical Examiner's Officer are investigating.
The identity of the worker has not been released.
