When they traveled down the hill, they said they witnessed a truck make it through the dangerous conditions at the intersection of Hasley Canyon and Del Valle roads.

But then a van attempted to cross the intersection next, and they said it was swept away by floodwaters into a stop sign and trapped.

With no emergency crews in sight, Nick Kennedy jumped into one of their tractors and drove over to the van.

In the video, you can see Nick Kennedy helping a woman climb from the window into the cab of the tractor.

Shortly later, a second woman is helped out of the window.

Nick Kennedy then drove the women away from the floodwaters and over to safety.

The Los Angeles County Public Works said Hasley Canyon Road and Del Valle Road was reopened at about 1:30 p.m.
