HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Houston's version of lenticular clouds formed over downtown earlier this morning, and we captured it all on our TowerCam.
These clouds normally form over mountainous regions as stable air is forced upward by the rising terrain.
Even though they appear stationary, they actually consist of a continuous flow of moist air.
Look carefully at the time lapse, and you'll see the air flowing through these unique cloud formations.
