HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Our weather sure is nice, but we also got news that moderate drought conditions have returned to most of Southeast Texas including all of Houston and Harris County. Not a drop of rain has fallen over most of Houston in the last 3 weeks.
Friday will be another rain-free day for Southeast Texas with pleasant temperatures and humidity levels. We'll see temperatures peak around 80 degrees under a partly cloudy sky.
We could see some rain near Matagorda Bay Saturday but most of SE Texas will stay dry.
Rain chances look slim to none over the next 10 days, but we are seeing signs that a pattern change around the end of the month could bring back some rain opportunities.
For the most part, yes! It won't be as cool as the last couple of days, but it will be closer to a typical mid October weekend. You can expect lows near 60 and highs in the mid 80s with comfortable humidity levels both Saturday and Sunday. The sky will be mostly sunny with the rain chance very near zero percent.
There are two areas we're watching in the tropics, both with low to moderate chances of developing over the next 7 days. The system in the Caribbean has a 50% chance of developing into a tropical depression before moving west onto land in Central America. Head to our daily Tropical Update page for a complete look at what we're covering in the tropics.
