Heavy downpours expected again Saturday

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The period from overnight Friday to the middle morning hours Saturday will be dry for most. A slug of moisture over Louisiana will move in and produce another wave of heavy storms over the area.

What should we expect for Labor Day Weekend?

A fresh surge of tropical moisture arrives Saturday, bringing more widespread showers and thunderstorms. Rainfall rates may be high enough with the slow moving storms to produce some areas of street flooding. That moisture thins out Sunday and Monday. Expect morning lows in the upper 70s and afternoon highs in the low-to-mid 90s. Many communities on Saturday may not make it out of the 80s due to the more widespread nature of the rain.
