Local trail riders try to spread about fighting injustice
Houstonians take to streets in fight against crime and injustice

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Trail riders are joining the call to fight crime and injustice in Houston neighborhoods.

Four groups in the Black Trail Riders Association led a Unity Ride through Acres Homes in northwest Houston.

They say they want to bring positive changes and stop violence, particularly in the black community.

"We are our brother's keepers. And if you see crime in your neighborhood, you're just as guilty as the one committing the crime if you don't try to stop the crime," said Rosetta Gray with the Southwestern Trail Riders Association.

The ride included a stop at a car wash owned by Hubbie Kerl. Police say the 87-year-old was beaten to death last month after telling a drug dealer not to sell in front of his business.
