Train strikes, kills pregnant woman in Conroe

CONROE, TX -- One 19-year-old woman has died after being hit by a train late Monday night between FM 1488 and River Plantation.

At about 10:30 p.m., the woman's boyfriend called 911 saying that he and a woman were walking along the tracks when they were hit by a train.

According to Conroe Police Department, the couple was fishing on the railroad bridge above the San Jacinto River when the train approached. The train sounded the horn and the two ran to get off the bridge as the train approached.
