Tornado spotted across southeast Harris, Galveston counties
HARRIS COUNTY (KTRK) -- Severe storms moving across the area triggered tornado warnings for Brazoria, Galveston and Harris counties Sunday evening. Viewers also told us they saw funnel clouds and a possible tornado land around League City.
The roof at the Candlewood Suite Hotel was peeled back because of the wind. Fortunately, no one was hurt and the inside of hotel was not damaged.
Eyewitness News cameras caught an electrical pole on fire nearly 50 yards from where abc13's Lauren Lea and photographer Chris Graczyk were standing. Firefighters believe the pole was damaged during the storm that moved through southeast Harris and Galveston counties.
Viewers have sent in videos and photos from across the area where showers and thunderstorms were spotted.
