Man accused dumping woman's body in SW Houston field arrested
The victim's body was found last week off of Fairdale near Greenridge, and the man accused of dumping her in that field is behind bars.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A 2-year-old boy is dead, and his mother suspects foul play on the part of a relative.

Chelsea Jamerson is learning to live life without her youngest child, 2-year-old Danzel Marshal, Jr.

"He was a very happy child, very smart," Jamerson said. "And he was, like, full of joy."

Jamerson said Danzel and her other children were staying with a relative in late August when she received a disturbing phone call. She raced to the hospital.

"They were trying to explain to me, they said they had been trying to do CPR for an hour, and I immediately just broke down and went into the room with him," Jamerson said. "And I was thinking maybe if I touch him, he'll come back, maybe if I hold him or anything, he'll come back. I cried about it, I was just like, he can't go right now."

Jamerson's other children told her they saw their relative throwing Danzel onto the floor and beating him after he wet himself.

"That he was basically whooped, and hit his head, and put into a hot room," Jamerson said.

She said her older child went to check on Danzel and found him lying on the floor, unresponsive.

"I don't feel like I'm getting justice for my son," Jamerson said. "And I'm a parent. I'm gonna do what I have to because I'm not gonna wait on the police."

According to a Houston Police Department spokesman, homicide detectives are still working the case. No charges have been filed. The autopsy report is not complete either. The cause of death is still listed as "pending."

Jamerson does not know what to do. She wants answers and justice for her son.

"I can't get over it," Jamerson said. "It's painful. It hurts."
