Yelp names Montgomery County restaurant best in nation

MONTGOMERY, TX (KTRK) -- When it comes to restaurants, Montgomery County has one of the best in the nation, according to a new Yelp ranking.

Tony's Italian Delicatessen at 16283 Highway 105 tops the list of the website's Top 100 Places to Eat in the US for 2017. The eatery's menu boasts a wide variety of sandwiches, salads, soups and baked goods.

"The meats? Fresh and amazing. The bread? So awesome and clearly someone makes it with love. The toppings and cheese? An outer body experience worth going back to time and time again," wrote one clearly satisfied customer.

"I hope they stay in business forever, because I won't be able to find another Italian deli of this quality any time soon," she added.

In a Facebook post, the deli's owners shared that the establishment has seen "incredibly busy" ever since the ranking was announced.

Other Houston-area restaurants that made the list include Le' Pam's House of Creole, Yoyo's Hot Dog and Las Tortas Perronas.
