The United States Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information on two suspects accused of stealing mail in west Houston.
Officials said that Davis also had order confirmations on his phone from Academy, Dicks Sporting Goods, and James Avery in other people's names. One order was for a $1,731 go-kart.
"You can't make this stuff up," police said.
The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is in charge of investigating thieves stealing your mail, but 13 Investigates found there's just 55 inspectors in Texas.
When the suspect began driving off with his money and the PlayStation, the buyer said he leaped into the car and tried to wrestle the PlayStation away.
To evade police, the thieves are posing as delivery personnel "using DoorDash bags and wearing Amazon or construction vests," law enforcement said. Sometimes, packages are swiped seconds after they're dropped off.
