HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Everyone's got an opinion on this one, so here are the top 10 taco spots in the Houston area, as voted on by ABC-13 viewers!

El Taconazo

When we asked for your favorites, we didn't know we'd receive such a unanimous number one pick! El Taconazo was the overwhelming majority. If you've never been, once you pass the tire shop, you've gone too far! At $1.75 a taco, you can't go wrong ordering one of everything on the menu.

Taqueria Laredo

There are four locations of Taqueria Laredo in the city, and they're all family owned and operated. One of the most popular may be the one on Washington. As ABC-13 viewer Nick Glenn reminds us, "the line is out the door every day!!!" After visiting the restaurant for this story, we found out that the construction across the street will be a brand new restaurant, complete with a drive-thru! Instead of a line of people, we expect there may soon be a line of cars.

Villa Arcos

ABC-13 viewer Connie Marez-Garcia told us that Villa Arcos has been around for 30 years! Maybe that's why another viewer says in addition to the great tacos, she always runs into people she hasn't seen in ages. At Villa Arcos, the Ladies are in the kitchen everyday making homemade flour tortillas from scratch just like Grandma use to make.

Torchy's Tacos

With several locations around town, Torchy's is a favorite among ABC-13 viewers. The chain was started in Austin after an executive chef left his career and purchased a food trailer. The rest is history. One of our favorite features about Torchy's is that you can order online from the three Houston locations.

Alamo Tamale and Taco

The Alamo opened a new restaurant in 2013 with plenty of seating, making it great for groups. They also open at 5 a.m., but serve up tacos until 6 p.m. Make sure to bring cash because there is a $10 credit card minimum.

Brothers Taco House

The menu at Brothers starts with "Thank GOD for tacos." Amen. And with a daily lunch special for just $4, we thank you Brothers. This place is so popular that one of the votes we received is from a viewer who has never been to the restaurant. Patricia Gamez says, "I haven't eaten there yet, but there's got to be a good reason why Taco Brothers on Dowling has a long line at 6:30 a.m."

Tita's Taco House

Tita's Taco House in Humble is open from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. which makes it a popular stop for breakfast and lunch. It's a little off the beaten path, but it's well worth the trip. Once you get close, make sure to look for the blue and yellow houses. Once you've found the blue house, you've made it!

Outriggers

Outriggers might just be the best kept secret under the Kemah Bridge. Tuesdays are $2 Tacos (Grilled, Blackened or Fried) fish or shrimp at the waterfront restaurant. The $2 tacos come highly recommended from several ABC-13 viewers.

Taco Loco

ABC-13 viewer Miriam Amador-Drabek said she has "been eating Taco Loco for 20 years. They still taste as good as the first time. I've tried others but no one compares, and yes I've had Taconazo." Well, there you have it. This one is a lesser-known restaurant that Miriam swears is better than the overwhelming favorite.

Hidden Gem

The last spot on our list goes to a place we don't know the name of. Several ABC-13 viewers nominated it, but everyone knows it as the stand in the Escapade Night Club parking lot. Pedro Eric Ruvalcaba says, "Get there early to avoid the Escapade club goers and enjoy the best barbacoa and lechon tacos in Houston, maybe in TEXAS!!!!"
