HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A suspect has been arrested in connection with an aggravated robbery case and theft from a person case that occurred in April.

On April 25, Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the Sienna Plantation subdivision to investigate these cases and learned the victims in each of the crimes were high school students who were being targeted as they walked home after being dropped off by the school bus.

In each case, the suspect stole the victim's cell phone.

Subsequent investigation resulted in criminal charge filings for aggravated robbery and theft from a person, both felony offenses.

The suspect, Bryce Jones, 17, of Houston, was arrested in the early morning hours on Monday.

Jones has a $50,000 bond for the robbery charge and a $5,000 bond for the theft charge. He bonded out the same day as his arrest.
