HPD: 16 people break into abandoned hotel to shoot video

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- More than a dozen young adults are accused of trespassing into an abandoned hotel near downtown Houston, reportedly to shoot a music video.

Sixteen people, some wearing clown makeup, were detained by police around 10:30pm Monday at the old Days Inn at St. Joseph Parkway at Travis.

Video at the scene shows a large group of young people sitting on the concrete outside the hotel as police investigate.

HPD says all 16 were released after the district attorney's office did not accept trespassing charges.

Investigators say they did not know what kind of video they were shooting.
