Multiple college football games canceled due to Hurricane Irma

Multiple universities across the state of Florida have canceled their upcoming college football games because of impending Hurricane Irma.

FLORIDA

The University of Florida has canceled its football home opener against Northern Colorado.

Florida athletic director Scott Stricklin said Thursday that it "become obvious that playing a football game is not the right thing to do."

The game will not be made up.

FLORIDA STATE

Florida State's game against Louisiana-Monroe has been canceled.

FIU

FIU's game against Alcorn State was moved to Birmingham, Alabama and will be played on Friday.

UCF

UCF moved its game against Memphis to Friday night instead of Saturday.

USF

USF will not play UConn this weekend. There is no word on when the game will be made up.
