JJ Watt is helping get a fan permission to attend his charity softball tournament (KTRK)

Ashlee Sanchez's boss has responded to JJ Watt's request that she get the day off from work to attend his charity softball game on Friday.

Cameron County District Clerk Eric Garza responded with a photo of a letter on Twitter. The letter reads: "To JJ Watt: Thank you for the letter. I am happy to say that Ashlee will be attending your charity event. I understand that she planned to attend this event prior to being hired with our office and she wasn't going to tell us. What she didn't know is that I encourage my employees to be active in the community! It's all about the kids!!! She's a huge Texas fan. But that's OK. GO COWBOYS!!!"

Just to catch up on this story: Sanchez wanted the day off to go to JJ Watt's charity softball game on Friday and on Monday Watt wrote this note for her.

Watt's charity softball classic is this Friday at Constellation Field in Sugar Land.
