Van destroyed in fiery crash with auto shop fence

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Arson officers are investigating after a fiery van crash outside a business on the Southwest Freeway overnight.

No one was found inside the van or at the scene when firefighters arrived.

HFD said a van crashed through a fence of an apartment complex, and then into the fence of an automotive business near the Southwest Freeway at Clarewood.

The van went up in flames and was destroyed.

No word yet on who owns the van or what happened just before the crash.
