HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Booooo! It's that time of the year when all the goblins and ghosts come out to play. If you're ready for a thrill, head over to the Nightmare on the Bayou in northwest Houston.
The haunted house, located at 1515 Studemont Street, prides itself as "Houston's only haunted house with real ghosts!" Built on the grounds of a cemetery, the Nightmare on the Bayou has been providing screams and scares for 17 years.
"We had a great turnout this year," creator Robert "Bob" Wright said. "We've gotten great reviews this year and have some good responses."

There are about 50 actors who help run the production of the show. Wright says they've been setting up since May.
"It takes about 45 minutes to an hour to get through everything," he said. "It's pretty intense, shock factor. That's what the people want -- scary."
Nightmare on the Bayou runs through October 31. Tickets can be purchased at the box office or online.
