BELLAIRE, Texas (KTRK) -- Bellaire police made one little boy's day, while bringing Christmas to others.
Ethan helms was sworn-in as an officer for a day. He's battling leukemia, but Friday was all about having fun. His mom says he's wanted to be a police officer since career day in kindergarten.
"Now that he's in the police car and he's doing the fun stuff, getting to push the sirens and drive the car, he's all happy now," she said.
Bellaire Police presented a $1,400 check to the Pediatric Cancer Charity "Stuff the Sleigh." The money will go to fill wish lists for kids who otherwise wouldn't have a Christmas.
