TEL AVIV, Israel (KTRK) -- Soccer hooligans invaded the field during a match and forced officials to call off the game.
A fan ran onto the field during the first half of the match between Hapoel and Maccabi Monday night. The man confronted striker Eran Zahavi and took a swing at him.
The two then traded kicks before security wrestled the man away. Zahavi was also ejected for retaliating.
The incident sent the crowd into a frenzy. Some of them spilled out of the stands and swarmed the field to fight each other. Police arrested a handful of people.
The next day, supporters of both teams met outside the courthouse where those arrested were being held and another fight broke out.
