Snake-owning high-rise resident cited for having venomous snake

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- There's new information surrounding the story of a cobra found in the Rice Lofts high rise apartments in downtown Houston.

The man suspected of owning this cobra, Brandon Ricks, has been hit with three citations for having venomous snakes in the city limits.

Residents called police after seeing the albino monocled cobra a couple of weekends ago.

Police caught the snake and it was killed.
