Thieves smash truck into gas station in SE Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Thieves used a vehicle to crash their way into a convenience store in southeast Houston.

The attempted smash and grab happened at the Valero gas station on Miraglen near South Wayside.

Houston police said the noise from the crash startled a group of men who were installing new flooring at a neighboring business. When they came outside, the thieves took off getting away with nothing.

The thieves left behind a huge hole and plenty to clean up in the front of that gas station.
