HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Virtual reality is becoming a more affordable reality.

You have several options that just hit the market and there's one way to get into that virtual world without ever making an investment in equipment.

The market has several virtual reality head sets:

The Oculus Rift is about $600.

The HTC Vive is about $800.

Keep in mind, these units require additional equipment that can send your price into the $1,000.

Samsung has a virtual reality headset that retails for $100.

This can be used only with specific Galaxy smartphones.

You can play games and watch movies.

But if you can't afford the investment or maybe you are not sure, enter Exitus VR located in Southwest Houston.

You can step into another dimension.

The ABC13 morning team decided to test out the the virtual reality games at Exitus VR.

You can play games with groups of people to save the world or just go on a virtual vacation to the Bahamas.

The workers at Exitus VR say it's a great corporate team building experience or another alternative for family gatherings and birthday parties.

The price per hour varies depending on how many players you have or the game you play.

Expect to pay $25 to $40 per hour.

If you really want to stretch your dollar, you can use cardboard googles like these by Google. The price is $15.
