Police: Man and woman shot repeatedly in middle of freeway

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police found a man and a woman both with several gunshot wounds in a car stopped this morning in the main lanes of the South Loop.

They were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive.

Police say a black vehicle may have stopped next to the car on the freeway and shot at the car, and then looped around on the service road and shot at the car again.

Police have not released a motive yet in the shooting, but are waiting to interview the victims at the hospital.
