Adult store shoplifter pushed worker during heist, HPD says
Houston police say the suspect wanted to make a trade for what investigators called "an expensive sex toy" during the bizarre heist last month.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- This isn't your typical heist.

Houston police say a man was caught on camera trying to leave an adult entertainment store with what was called an "expensive sex toy" after his offer to trade a voltmeter for it was refused by an employee.

The man is then seen pushing another employee out of the way as he exits without paying for the high-priced item.

Police released on Tuesday footage of the April 1 shoplifting-turned-robbery incident at the business on Richmond near Fountain View. The ordeal took place at about midnight.

The wayward customer then got into a white Ford SUV and drove away.

Police described the suspect in the case as a white or Hispanic male who was last seen wearing a blue jacket and tan pants.

Anyone with information on the suspect is urged to contact Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (8477) or submit a tip to the Crime Stoppers website.

Tips can be sent anonymously, and there's a potential cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest or charge of the suspect.
