HPD: Rush hour shooting was product of road rage
Police say it started with the sound of a horn and ended with a 20-year-old woman shot in the head. Now police need finding the suspects

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Investigators say a woman who was shot during the Tuesday afternoon rush hour was a victim of someone's road rage.

It happened around 5:15pm along a busy stretch of the South Loop near Stella Link.

Police say it started with the sound of a horn and ended with a 20-year-old woman shot in the head. Now police need your help finding the man and woman responsible.

Police say the woman was in the right lane, heading westbound on the South Loop near Stella link. A man in what she told police was a small blue car cut her off. She blew her horn and kept driving. After she made her way toward one of the left lanes, that car pulled up to her driver's side, and a white woman with blond hair leaned back in the front seat, and the driver fired a shot through her window, hitting her in the head.

She was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

An HPD spokesperson says she was conscious and talking and was able to tell them what happened.

They're asking anyone who saw this happen to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
