Body found in backyard after gunshots ring out in east Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police are searching for a person of interest in a deadly east Houston shooting overnight.

Investigators said a body was found in a backyard at a home on Rouse Street, just off the East Freeway.

Another man was seen leaving the house, but we do not know the name of that person of interest.

Police said the victim and the gunman knew each other, but did not elaborate.
