Tracy McGrady makes pro pitching debut for Skeeters

SUGAR LAND, TX (KTRK) -- Former Rockets star and current Sugar Land Skeeter Tracy McGrady made his professional pitching debut Saturday night.

McGrady gave up two runs in 1.2 innings and walked two against the Somerset Patriots. Out of 35 pitches, 18 were for strikes, according to the team's Twitter page.

He allowed a single in the first inning before former major leaguer Edwin Maysonet hit a solo homer off of him with one out in the second.

The Skeeters had said before the game that the 34-year-old McGrady would be on a limited pitch count. He last pitched in an exhibition game last month, allowing three hits in an inning against Alvin Community College.
