Woman injured by rock thrown at bus

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A woman was hurt when someone apparently threw a rock at a bus in the Medical Center area.

At about 11:30am Tuesday, the window of a UT Health bus was hit by a rock. UT PD Director Ed Cavazos said an adult student sustained a minor injury when shattered glass hit her arm.

Cavazos added that the case appears to be a random act of criminal mischief. It doesn't appear that the vehicle or anyone on it was specifically targeted.

The incident remains under investigation.
