Grappling hooks, tennis balls among banned items at Republican National Convention

Bad news for any Republican National Convention attendees who own grappling hooks or sledgehammers, you're going to have to leave those items at home on July 18.

The city of Cleveland released a list of items that are prohibited in "any public access area" at the Republican National Convention. These areas are defined as "any space in the Event Zone, excluding spaces designated as the Secure Zone, that is open to access by the general public, including Streets, Sidewalks and Public Grounds."

Among fireworks, rockets, drones and explosives, some of the more unusual items include umbrellas with metal tips, gas masks, grappling hooks, sledgehammers, tennis balls and canned goods.
