Mars Chocolate issues voluntary recall for Dove chocolate snowflakes

Close to 6,700 cases of Dove's chocolate snowflakes are being recalled after a customer found a piece of Snickers in one of the assortment bags.

Mars Chocolate North America, issued the voluntary recall Friday, saying the affected bags may contain pieces of its other products, including Snickers, Milky Way and Twix. The 24 oz. bags were sold at Walmart stores in 35 states between September 19 and December 1, including Texas.

"People who have allergies to peanuts, wheat and/or eggs have the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products," the company said in a statement.

If consumers have concerns, Mars Chocolate says the product should be returned to the store where it was purchased for a full refund.
