HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Raw sewage bubbling up from the ground and into homes is the health threat some southwest Houston residents say they deal with daily.
The sewage issues in this Sharpstown neighborhood began last February, but some residents say their complaints to the city have only resulted in quick fixes or no fix at all. Meanwhile they say the problem is only getting worse.
"Every time one of the neighbors flushes their toilets you can see it bubble up between the houses and just come right out in the yard," said resident Cody Culpepper. "This neighborhood has a lot of kids who play in the yards as well as animals. It's pretty nasty."
We reached out to the city for comment and were told that a crew has been dispatched to the address. Waste water operations is investigating the matter.
