Wreck knocks out power pole in SE Houston
The downed power pole made for a dangerous scene in southeast Houston Thursday.

HOUSTON -- A driver slammed into a power pole in southeast Houston on Thursday, knocking out power to the immediate area.

It happened on Satsuma and 75th. A witness says a driver lost control and hit the pole, snapping it in half. The top of the power pole is being held up by the power lines, suspended over a home.

An ambulance came to check out the driver of the car, but she refused treatment.

Power is out in the immediate area.
