Woman's body found in dumpster behind north Harris County business, sheriff's office says

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A woman was found dead inside a dumpster behind a business in north Harris County, according to the sheriff's office.

The gruesome discovery was made on Thursday afternoon in the 3900 block of Aldine Mail Road, the Harris County Sheriff's Office said.

Investigators said the woman in her 60s reportedly was known for dumpster diving in the area and may have suffered heat-related injuries.

HCSO detectives said the woman's rare pickup truck was towed away after a business in the plaza reported it.

According to deputies, the woman's family had been searching for her since Wednesday night.

The investigation is ongoing, HCSO confirms.
