HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Authorities are looking for a suspect, who is believed to be armed, after they said he fired shots, then barricaded himself inside a home in northwest Harris County on Wednesday.
It all started at around 1 a.m. in the 7800 block of Bayou Forest Drive, where Precinct 1 deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call for a man who showed up, busted windows, and opened fire at another person, said Major Cedric Collier with the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
The man has been identified as 40-year-old Zachary Allen Parker.
Officials said at some point after Parker fired a shot and damaged several vehicles with his own, he left and went to his house in the 8600 block of Twisting Vine Lane.
It's there where deputies said they tried to get Parker to surrender peacefully, but when he didn't, they called in SWAT.
"We tried everything we could to talk him out. Using a PA system, we used our robots and deployed drones inside the residence to be safe, used our SWAT to enter the residence and clear the house," Collier said.
Authorities soon discovered Parker was not in the home. They're now urging him to turn himself in.
Parker is wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Because authorities believe he's armed, they're asking the public not to approach him if they see him. Instead, call Crime Stoppers or the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
No one was hurt.
