No injuries reported after apartment fire in west Houston, HFD says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Houston Fire Department said that firefighters battled an apartment fire in west Houston on Wednesday evening.

According to HFD officials, the fire broke out at the apartment complex on Westerland Drive.

Fire officials said the fire impacted five units on the property.

HFD said that there are no injuries reported to any residents or firefighters at this time.

An investigation is still underway into what caused the fire.
