16 apartment units damaged in Bellaire fire, 2 firefighters injured, city officials say
A fire at the Pont Alba Apartments along Bissonnet near Mulberry has left multiple families looking for new homes.

BELLAIRE, Texas (KTRK) -- An apartment fire in Bellaire has left multiple families looking for new homes.

According to the City of Bellaire, the fire broke out at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the Pont Alba Apartments along Bissonnet near Mulberry.

City officials say 16 units in total were affected by the fire, but no residents were injured.

Bellaire leaders say two firefighters had to be treated for heat exhaustion, but they are expected to be OK.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
