Man found dead in north Harris County warehouse fire: Westfield FD

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A man was found dead from a warehouse fire in north Harris County, according to the Westfield Fire Department.

Capt. Scott Douglas of Westfield FD said they responded to a structure fire on Collins Road late Tuesday night. Firefighters then found a small shed on fire inside a warehouse, Douglas said.

There was one civilian found dead inside the warehouse, Douglas said. He went on to say that the man appeared to have died from the fire.

Douglas described it as a relatively small fire in the shed with no extension.

According to Westfield FD, the investigation has been turned over to the Harris County Fire Marshall's Office.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
